Learn from the best: MA Documentary and Features in partnership with the BBC

UWE Bristol and BBC Factual, the BBC’s award-winning documentary and factual programme unit, have partnered to create a new MA Documentary and Features course

A practical and production-based learning opportunity

You’ll be taught by industry experts – with half of the teaching being delivered by current and former BBC production personnel, the very best in the business. The other half will be taught by specialist UWE Bristol academics with extensive industry experience.

Production exercises with ‘real-world’ conditions from pitching and contracting to scheduling and budgeting are introduced from day one, preparing you for a career in long and short-form factual programming, ranging from documentary to formatted, presenter-led features.

Personal mentoring

You will be matched with an industry mentor who will act as an advisor for your professional development and give guidance on your final project.

Fantastic facilities

Teaching will take place in our new state-of-the-art, multi-million-pound media hub at Bower Ashton Campus, allowing you to develop your skills using industry standard equipment.
