Technology has always changed how we tell stories but something extraordinary is happening at the moment. The speed of technological progress, coupled with the web and social media, has led to a host of new storytelling possibilities. The new storytelling paradigm has been described as participatory, cross-platform, immersive, transmedia, and interactive. But what kinds of stories are possible now? This talk will introduce ground-breaking projects on the web and beyond, made possible by apps, robots, drones and the virtual reality world of the Oculus Rift.Stories are stories but storytelling is changing. Be part of a discussion about how these untamed creative practices are expanding definitions of narrative and of audience.
