In the second instalment of our 2018 i-Docs Symposium video posts, Across Time and Space brings together explorations of contested histories, contested spaces, and the ways in which Augmented Reality, technology and documentary might offer us new experiences of these debates. William Uricchio of MIT presents ‘Marking Spaces and Creating Stories: Lessons from the deep history of augmented reality’, followed by Sarah-Mai Dang of Bayreuth University with her presentation ‘Interactive Historiography: Re-enactment as Artistic Research Practice’. The talks are followed by a joint Q&A session, moderated by Professor Jon Dovey.
