Jonathan Harris, the creator of Cowbird, is known for his love of stories and his latest interactive documentary presents a story you don’t often get access to. “I Love Your Work is an interactive documentary about the private lives of nine women who make lesbian porn.It consists of 2,202 10-second video clips, taken at five-minute intervals over 10 consecutive days. The full interactive website is limited to just 10 viewers per day, and tickets cost $10 each.” Intrigued? I am. I haven’t encountered this pay per view model within interactive documentary – or at least certainly not in this way. It will be interesting to see how the project plays out and whether this model would be viable for future work. For now have a free peek at the trailer and head over the the site if you’re interested in getting a ticket.

i-Docs alumni Gerald Holubowicz got in touch via our Facebook page to tell us about a multimedia research project he’s been involved in. Commissioned by World Press Photo, the project set out to explore trends within the visual journalism community:

Dr. David Campbell examines the current practices in multimedia against the background of the disruption in the traditional media economy, and the revolution in how people consume news today. Download the full research report, and join in the discussion on Dr. Campbell’s blog.

As well as the research report, there’s a collection of five video reports with those involved in the field sharing personal experiences of multimedia projects, funcing challenges and how they produce and distribute their content. Here’s an introduction to the project from Dr. David Campbell, make sure you head over to the site to have a look at the other videos, as well as the full research project: www.worldpressphoto.org/multimedia-research
